Today was an amazing day of spotting as lots of the planes that came today don’t usually come to Dulles. The highlight of today was the Lufthansa 747-400. It is such an amazing airliner and never gets old watching her mains hit the runway creating an immense amount of smoke.
Yesterday, Saturday December 16, I was at Washington Dulles and got many good shots of various aircraft’s. This was also my first time seeing the Emirates 777-300 and Qatar A350-900 at Washington Dulles.

Lufthansa for many years has been flying their 747-8 and 400 out of Washington Dulles. When international flights were able to return to the United States after covid, the 747 was an ideal plane to fly due to the large seating capacity needed to handle the increase in international travel.
